The Juventus squad has been hit with another setback as defender Leonardo Cuadrado has suffered a serious knee injury during training.
The 29-year-old, who joined the Italian giants from Chelsea in January last year, was playing for the club's B team when he sustained the injury.
He will be out of action for several weeks and it is likely that his time at Juventus will be limited.
Cuadrado began his career with Atlético Madrid before moving to Chelsea in 2016. He made over 50 appearances for the Blues but struggled to find regular game-time under manager Antonio Conte.
Despite this, he impressed on loan at Fiorentina last season and helped them reach the Europa League semi-finals.
However, his time at Juventus has not gone as smoothly as hoped. He has struggled to establish himself in the starting line-up and has only made five appearances so far this season.
His injury means that Juventus will now have to look elsewhere for cover at the back, although they may have to pay up if they want to sign a replacement.
It is a blow for the club, which had high hopes for Cuadrado after signing him for a reported fee of £40 million.
But it also highlights the importance of having depth in defence and the need for clubs to be prepared for injuries and other setbacks.
